Task: Write a letter to the Municipal Commissioner of your locality bringing to his notice the unsanitary conditions prevailing in your area.

Dear Sir

I am a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. I would like to bring to your kind notice the unsanitary conditions prevailing in our locality. The drainage system in our locality isn’t working properly. It is chocked as the sweepers do not take pains to clean it regularly. As a result of this dirty water collects in the streets and lanes. The roads are in a pitiable state too. There are ankle-deep pits here and there. The dirty water in the drains collects in these pits and they act as good breeding place for flies and mosquitoes. There are not enough dust bins along the roads and this forces people to throw rubbish in the open.

I request you to take some steps urgently to improve the situation.
