University of Adelaide

Established in 1874, the University of Adelaide is a medium sized institution attracting students from all over the world. The University is ranked by the Australian Government in the top group of Australian Universities in terms of research, teaching and curriculum development.

The University of Adelaide is an innovative and forward looking university. It has produced three Nobel Prize winners (one for medicine and two for physics) and many Rhodes scholars.

Courses offered by the University are recognized internationally and they include studies in agriculture, business, law, engineering, mathematical and computer sciences, architecture, medicine, dentistry, humanities and social sciences, music, teaching and sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Adelaide University also offers short-term study through the Study Abroad and Exchange programs.

Adelaide university’s reputation in post graduate research is well established in the areas of biotechnology & molecular biology, information technology& communications, engineering, and environment and natural resource management.

How should international students apply?

Selection to all programs is based solely on academic merit. Students can mention up to six programs to which they seek admission. Be sure to submit them in the order of preference. The most preferred option should be listed first and the least preferred option should be listed last.

International Application & Admission

International students need to apply directly to the University of Adelaide. Alternatively, they can apply through an official international representative of the university.

The completed application form and original or certified copies of academic qualifications, transcripts, English language tests results (if required) and any other supporting documents should be sent to the following address.

There is an application fee. If you are paying by credit card, include your details on the application form, otherwise attach a bank draft of AUD$50. Please note that the application fee is waived for applications submitted through the University's International Representatives.
